Implementation Consultants assist Misys clients to implement Misys applications and designated 3rd party products. The role requires being involved in the build of the system; user acceptance and operations testing; analysis and resolution of system and software issues; and the rollout of the system across branches of the bank. The main responsibilities are to:
- Assist with the installation of Misys applications and designated 3rd party products, i.e. set-up the systems and environments to accept and run the Misys applications and designated 3rd party products.
- Assist in the preparation of Implementation Specification documents.
- Assist in the build of the system, i.e. build and unit test the parameterisation and configuration files necessary to deliver the functionality defined in the Product Mapping/Implementation Specification documentation.
- Write scripts to facilitate the client to automate the running of the system in the most secure and efficient manner.
- Assist and support in the testing of the system and resolution of issues.
- Assist the support of branch rollout and conversion activities.
- Liase with client representatives, and other staff where necessary.
- Provide product knowledge transfer to clients.
- Provide regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
- Comply with the Misys procedures and processes.
- Provide guidance and advice to other members of the team. (Misys and client).
- Produce documentation to assist in problem resolution to be available, for future reference by other Consultants, in useful notes.
- Develop knowledge of the banks business, procedures and processes.
- Have the ability to use the available software tools and develop a working knowledge of the systems facilities.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant products and extend knowledge to next relevant product module.
- Develop a working knowledge of 3rd Party Products sufficient to provide front line support.
Experience / Skills:
- Successful completion of a relevant Business/Computer Science Degree or have relevant Business/Banking experience.
- Good knowledge of banking operations and processes.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to react positively and quickly, think logically and effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- An inventive and practical approach to system build, testing and problem solving.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Capable of working without close supervision.
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel extensively within Middle East & Africa region and may be away from home for up to or in excess of four nights per week.
