Role Competencies:
- Establish agreed short and long term account plans for customers
- Initiate and Manage the sales cycle
- Advice, support, preparation and presentation of proposals
- Co-ordination of information flow
- Identification of market opportunities that develop and grow a strong sales pipeline
- Build and maintain relationship with senior bankers and related relevant organisations in order to develop and grow the business
Experience:
- Educated preferably to degree/ Master's degree level, strong sales track record, Banking reference and Banking Software experience
- Proven track record of "selling" and achieving sales targets at a high-level to the banking sector (5-10 years)
- Thorough understanding of banking processes (front, middle, back office), IT processes and implementations, ideally from a working environment
- Knowledge of Misys products or experience with a direct competitor would be a distinct advantage
Skills:
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to establish credibility with senior staff, both externally and internally
- Bi-lingual (English plus one additional relevant language) desirable
- Self-motivated, ambitious, independent, organised
- Ability to work with many activities/prospects at the same time and remain focused
- Assist in the sales cycle in terms of the project definition for third party / consultancy sales
- Complete market research to provide accurate profiles of; allocated banks in terms of their existing product/system, key personnel and strategy in terms of future development of their system, and; competitor products, personnel and activities
- Establish and maintain contact with Product Centres and Marketing Dept to gain additional market and product information that will lead to additional sales opportunities
