Technical Consultant (PS Equation) - Manila

Responsibilities:

  • Provides Clients with development, integration, deployment, optimization and implementation consultancy for Misys software solutions to meet the Client’s design requirements, through the following services:

 

         -  Custom Development – to develop non-core product enhancements for Clients
         -  Interface Development – to develop third party product interfaces and integrations for Clients
         -  Technology Implementation – to install, configure and deploy Misys products and System software products         
         -  Unit/System/Regression Testing – to test the implemented Misys products and System software products              
         -  Deployment Support – to assist third parties in the deployment of Misys products and solutions

         -  Software Installation/Upgrae – to install and upgrade Misys products and System software products in a controlled, managed, safe and efficient manner
         -  Performance Optimisation – performance monitoring, measurement and capacity planning of Misys solutions, recommending and making changes to Misys products and System software configurations
         -  Third Party Implementations – to install, configure and deploy third party products

  • Assists Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to eliminate risks and increase the likelihood of project success through the provision of information, advice, guidance and updates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Undertakes on-site 1st Level Problem Diagnosis and 2nd Level Problem Replication of Misys Product issues encountered during the project implementation lifecycle, and effectively works with Misys Customer Support and Development to manage to a satisfactory resolution
  • Constructs, facilitates and delivers Client Workshops and Training courses as needed.

 


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any Information Technology or Business course
  • Minimum of 7 years’ retail banking experience
  • Ideally with solid technical consulting experience in networking, databases, operating system and business application software products working for either Hardware, Software or Services companies
  • RPG, iSeries knowledge and experience is required
  • Experience in Equation and project implementation would be ideal
  • Good knowledge and practical experience in Misys' products, use of methods, tools and techniques that have been part of Misys standards
  • Highly skilled in at least four of the following technical disciplines, with a good general knowledge / understanding in some of the remaining technical disciplines listed below:
    • Sybase, Oracle, SQL Server, Informix, Brio Structure Query Reports (SQR), Crystal   Reports
    • AS400, Websphere, Windows 2000 / NT / XP / Citrix
    • Cobol, RPG, GUI-400, Java, Visual Basic, Access, Microsoft .NET, C++, J2EE, UNIX scripting
    • Web Servers, Application Servers, Database Servers
    • Application Programming Interfaces (API's) and Middleware components
    • Disaster Recovery and Automated testing tools
    • Data Communications, Network Protocols, Internet Security Protocols (PKI) and Internet Connectivity
    • StorQM PLUS, IntelliMatch, Valet, PrepP, Jacana, inTuator, FormsMaster, OFAC-Agent, Compliance Alert
  • An advantage if Microsoft MCSE and Sun Solaris System Admin accreditated
  • Excellent business communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work using a number of national languages would be preferred but is not essential
  • Must be customer focused and is able to work well under pressure
  • Able and willing to travel overseas on various assignments on short- or long-term basis, as required by business.
