Misys Solutions for Treasury & Capital Markets, a market-leading provider of integrated Trading, Operations, and Enterprise Risk Management software for Fixed Income, Derivatives, Treasury and Commercial Lending businesses, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong design and programming skills who is motivated to learn as well as guide peers in the use of the latest Windows Forms and .NET technologies.
As a Senior Software Engineer, this role is also expected to provide advice and support to other team members and application teams in usage of the Misys Summit framework.
The architecture team is responsible for designing and building the low level programming frameworks used internally by developers as well as technical APIs used publicly by Misys Summit clients.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include design, development and testing of new applications as well as enhancements to and support for existing applications in the Summit Framework, using C# and C++.
- There will also be opportunities to evaluate new technologies for possible integration into the framework.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong design and analytical skills. Communicate ideas to other team members, and be proactive in problem solving.
- The candidate must have software industry knowledge, be familiar with technology standards, information management, development standards, methods and emerging 3rd party software in order to advise on technology and leverage industry best practice in the design and construction of Misys' software products
Requirements:
- BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years software development experience
- 3+ years object oriented design
- Strong experience with .NET and C#
- Knowledge of development in Windows platform Windows Forms and/or MFC or Windows API
- Experience with C++ desirable
