Functional Consultant - Beijing

Role Competencies

  • Good understanding of Treasury Banking and / or Financial Environments.  A background on derivative products is an advantage
  • Fluent in local language (For example, Mandarin for China, Cantonese for HK, Bahasa Indonesia for Indonesia)
  • Able and willing to travel
  • Able to assist Service Delivery Managers and Project Managers to eliminate risks and increase the likelihood of project success through the provision of information, advice, guidance and updates throughout the project lifecycle
  • Able to create and deliver Client presentations and / or take the "lead consultant" role for a project implementation
  • Able to construct, facilitate and deliver Client Workshops and able to deliver Misys Client Training courses in a highly professional manner and to a high level of quality
  • Good understanding of the implementation, development and customisation requirements for Misys' solutions
  • Excellent understanding and practical expertise in Misys products in order to provide Clients with advice, guidance, design and implementation consultancy for Misys core applications and asset class modules, though the following services:
    • Impact Assessment - to determine business process and technology change requirements for Clients
    • Education Assessment - to determine Clients training needs
    • Functional Analysis & Design - to understand Clients business processes and interpret into a workable design
    • Technical Analysis & Design - to understand Clients technical requirements and interpret into a workable design
    • Application Configuration - to configure Misys applications and modules to meet the design requirements
    • Data Conversion & Transformation - to convert and align data from potentially disparate sources into a single source to meet the design requirements
  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of Financial Industry standard interfaces such as SWIFT.

Experience

  • Likely to have at least 5 years solid experience of financial products software consulting and / or 5 years of relevant Banking experience.

Skills

Technical Skills

  • Good knowledge and practical experience of Misys' products
  • Accomplished in the use of methods, tools and techniques that have been designated as the current Misys standards. At this time these are:
    • Microsoft Excel - for Data Extraction/Conversion, Change Control and Miscellaneous Reports
    • Microsoft Word - for General Communications and Reporting
    • Microsoft Outlook - for Email Management and Processing
    • Microsoft Powerpoint - for internal and Client Presentations
    • Understanding of database and operating system software e.g. Microsoft SQL, Windows NT / 2000
