Misys Solutions for Treasury & Capital Markets, a market-leading provider of integrated Trading, Operations, and Enterprise Risk Management software for Fixed Income, Derivatives, Treasury and Commercial Lending businesses, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced front office/ risk management business analyst to join the Misys Summit Development Ops team.
The Summit product delivers high volume real time Analytics such as Mark To Market, Hedging, Delta Gamma VAR, Monte Carlo VAR, Profit & Loss, and Credit Risk to Summit's client base. These applications are being built on the top of Summit's financial toolkit and support the whole range of financial products - Swaps, Bonds, CAPs, FX, FX Options, CREDIT and Equity derivatives to name a few.
The primary responsibility of this position is to gather and analyze requirements from internal and external clients and document and update product functional specifications that detail the scope of the work to be completed by a project team. Successful candidates will work closely with the development group to evaluate existing product modules and provide development estimates for new functionality. They also will participate in product demonstration and serve as a liaison between Solutions Management and Product Development groups.
Responsibilities:
- Interface with clients, Product Managers, and other project stakeholders to analyze, interpret, and identify a product's business requirements, scope, issues, and solutions
- Write functional specification documents based on the clients business requirements and interviews with subject matter experts and technical team
- Analyze existing code to estimate development efforts
- Work with Project Management to develop product timelines, milestones, and estimated development time
- Review and/or write technical specifications; provide feedback and clarification so that technical specs support the product's functional specifications
- Clearly communicate related changes to the project team and management
- Serve as the first point of contact for project teams and management regarding documented product features and requirements
- Ensure product functional specification documents are complete, current, and archived appropriately
- Participate in writing other product development materials as needed
Requirements:
Successful applications for this position should have experiences in several of the following areas:
" Current experience in the financial industry in at least two of the following areas: (4-6 yrs)
o Fixed Income
o Derivatives (Equity, Credit, Interest Rate)
o Treasury, FX Options
o Risk Management
" Experience with capturing and pricing complex financial instruments
" Knowledge of the MBS/ABS market
" Knowledge of VAR, credit risk, market risk
" Extensive experience with business analysis and translating business requirements to functional specifications
" At least four years of experience in working with application developers
" Proven track record of delivering against tight deadlines with high quality
" Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to communicate to senior technical banking staff, traders, and risk managers.
" Knowledge of full development life cycle
