Product Marketing Manager - New York

Misys, is seeking a Product Marketing Manager. The principle goal for the products marketing function is the evangelist for the product.  This entails creating unique positioning and supporting value propositions for their product and its associated solution. This should then be supported through the production of content, supporting the analyst interaction, understanding customer and competitor moves and requirements.

Product Positioning:

  • Work with Product Management, Development, Sales, to create unique positioning and value propositions for the product, work internally where applicable to avoid product overlap
  • Development of the individual product propositions, including their market position, target audience and value-add 
  • Deliver strong messaging and content around new prduct releases - working with AR/PR
  • Maintain customer intelligence around specific solution and have this available to the sales teams when required
  • Create a strong differential between Misys and our competitors, and internally between our solutions
  • Conduct quarterly reviews with Product Manager to outline roadmaps
  • Liaise with regional marketing managers to understand and maintain regional collateral requirements
  • Provide content to regional marketing efforts
  • Internal point of reference for the Go-To-Market strategies relevant to particular product set
  • Assist in the assessment of market opportunities (by geography, tier and new product development)
  • Ensure that all internal stakeholders are kept up to date on product / proposition developments and that the appropriate elements of the intranet and website are current, compelling and accurate (working with internal Comms)
  • Provide market analysis support and recommendations on pricing

Drive Pipeline & Revenue:

  • Support selling activities to influence key stakeholders so that they understand the solutions we are creating and  are enthused by their potential
  • Work with the regional marketing to identify and target specific market segments within the remit of our overall positioning and messaging
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with customer facing staff such as PS, sales and Solutions Consulting to identify key needs (e.g. sales tools) - services management to host along with product marketing
  • Support Field/Regional marketing representatives to execute regional campaigns
  • Provide content to sales tools and collateral (Product Brochure, Product Fact Sheet, Misys Solution Overview (Pwpt), Misys Solution Technical Overview (Pwpt), Misys Solution Roadmap Presentation, Customer reference documents/case studies, Discovery questions, Competitive Positioning Document, Relevant white papers, Business Process Overview)
  • Work with Sales to develop product specific marketing program needs - working with Regional/Field marketing to execute

Engender Customer Loyalty:

  • Define and execute customer communication plan to ensure customers understand key developments within Misys (work with corporate communications/Regional and Field marketing)
  • Own Customer Conferences - work with Field marketing resources to execute event and own content development process- define agenda topics and work with content developers to deliver content
  • Provide content for customer survey

Improve Market Awareness:

  • Create awareness programs for analysts and systems integrators
  • Ensure communication with Industry standard bodies
  • Work with PR to deliver customer case studies that act as proof points for the solutions and value propositions we are taking to market
  • Create and deliver quarterly or bi-annual lightweight newsletters discussing latest product and solution developments to be sent to build market awareness - working with PR and Regional/Field Marketing to execute
  • Work with the PR function to communicate good news with our customer base
  • Work with PR to deliver communication around the upcoming capabilities in the product on major releases
  • Take lead role in analyst relations around your solution - working with AR resource
  • Contribute to thought leadership

Marketing Operations:

  • Drive improvements in marketing function measurement and processes
  • Push suppliers for better terms on price or value
  • Ensure that all relevant information is recorded in salesforce.com, including customer contact information, marketing campaign information, to facilitate the rapid execution of marketing campaigns and the ongoing monitoring of their effectiveness
