31st January 2006 - Madrid/Mönchengladbach/Frankfurt: Santander Consumer, the high growing consumer finance division of Grupo Santander, has announced its IT Strategy for the European Consumer Market - "Partenon & Alhambra" - which will be implemented in cooperation with Misys Banking Systems, one of the world's largest suppliers of banking software.
This partnership brings together the Misys skills and expertise in software development and the bank's deep knowledge and experience in lending and delivering first class consumer service.
Within the scope of this partnership, Santander Consumer and Misys will jointly develop software components in order to standardise Santander Consumer's IT landscape which currently includes many different systems. The new system will be used by Santander Consumer Finance units throughout Europe and will help Santander Consumer to improve service levels, increase efficiencies, and lower costs by saving in both technology and operations.
Santander Consumer / CC-Bank in Germany will be the first subsidiary to implement the new components for their very successful consumer finance business.
Santander Consumer / CC-Bank’s contribution to this technology partnership will be the unrivalled knowledge in process automisation in auto and durables financing. In this area of Retail Banking Santander Consumer / CC-Bank is the market leader in Germany.
